Course Description
SPECIAL NOTES: N/ACOURSE DESCRIPTION: This course introduces students to the biology of birds. Topics include diversity, evolution, anatomy, physiology, behavior, ecology, and conservation. The course consists of lectures, discussions, and extensive readings, including a selection from the primary scientific literature. Local outings supplement the material covered in class and offer students the opportunity to learn field identification. Students are required to keep a field journal and to prepare several class presentations.
