Course Description
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Water resource issues are of central importance to human society and ecosystems. As the global human population increases and the effects of climate change are felt, effective and sustainable management of water resources is an increasingly critical task. This course will present the historical and current importance of water quantity and quality in shaping ecosystems and human society. Students will gain an understanding of water treatment and distribution systems and the primary considerations in their use. In addition, students will gain an understanding of water resources policy, law, and economics in terms of historical context, current utilization and issues, and future considerations.SPECIAL NOTES:
