Course Description

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Art and Social Change exposes students to the role of Interdisciplinary Art in engaging personal and political experience, while informing students about conceptual art and methods that have been used historically and in contemporary culture for social discourse. Through research and discussion, students will learn about the impact of the arts on society, and explore a range of social and environmental aesthetic interventions. Students will create individual and collaborative projects, learn fundamental concepts of design, critical skills, and relevant art theories that respond to social issues including power and privilege in the art world.SPECIAL NOTES: N/A
