Environmental Leadership & Communication
Course Description
Building on an introduction to key theories of effective leadership, students will develop an applied understanding of adaptive management and group dynamics, and will study different approaches to mobilizing and facilitating effective actions across a range of stakeholders, managing conflict, and engaging in public advocacy and communication campaigns. Students will develop strategies and professional practices that help translate key scientific findings and policy proposals about sustainability, climate change, and other environmental issues to a variety of agencies, organizations, and other community stakeholders.
