After developing an understanding of theories of sustainability and resilience, and their applications in policy and practice, this course will consider critiques and elaborations of these theories in shaping community planning processes. Students will experiment with ways of measuring sustainability and resilience, and consider how emerging best practices can be applied to help develop community plans and motivate stakeholder action.
