Course Description

This course provides a broad understanding of the cultural, ethical, economic, legal and political issues surrounding diversity, equity and excellence in terms of student learning. Students will explore the implications for providing school counseling to the diverse groups in the U.S., and understand the ways in which educational policies, programs, and practices can be developed, adapted and modified to be culturally congruent with the needs of students and their families.SPECIAL NOTES:
