In this course educational leaders will understand the political, legal, and policy environments inwhich leaders operate through the function of boards, state, local, and national agencies. Theywill examine the governance and policy-making process to learn how resources and values areallocated to affect decision-making and change. Educators will be actively engaged intransformative leadership practices to demonstrate that leaders can serve as power brokers and policy makers in educational institutions.This course satisfies PreK-12 administrator certification requirements, as well as supporting non-certification sustainable leadership requirements.
