Impact Metrics: Measuring & Reporting
Course Description
This course provides essential tools and knowledge for measuring and reporting an organization’s environmental and social impact across a variety of contexts, including nonprofits, educational institutions, public entities, small businesses, cooperatives, and B-Corps. You will develop and implement effective frameworks that integrate situational considerations, such as organization size and resources, while aligning with organizational goals. Students will apply measurement tools that support data-driven decision-making and support improved environmental and social performance. Topics include identifying relevant performance indicators, data collection and analysis, reporting standards, and strategies for using performance data to drive improvement, differentiation, and stakeholder engagement. Prerequisite: Open to graduate students or by instructor permission.
