Foundations of Regenerative Design

Course Description

In an age in which we are facing large-scale, multifaceted challenges, regenerative design offers us an avenue to step beyond sustainability into a world where humans and nature thrive in tandem. In this class, students will explore why and how different ways of thinking can provide holistic solutions, gain direct experience of and skills for regenerative living practices as they explore the history and development of ideas in sustainability, and use design thinking, human-centered design, biomimicry, and permaculture as approaches to projects as they broaden their understanding of what is possible in the face of the complex challenges we face.
