Practicum in Regenerative Design

Course Description

This applied practicum immerses students in complex, real-world regenerative design challenges, focusing on co-creating place-based solutions that align with human and more-than-human systems. The course emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches, drawing on principles from ecology, permaculture, architecture, and systems thinking while applying advanced design tools and techniques. Through iterative design, feedback, and refinement processes, students will work with community partners to develop solutions that are deeply informed by both local ecosystems and the needs of the communities they serve. Practical engagement will be combined with reflective learning, ensuring students not only build professional skills but also critically assess the ethical implications of their design choices. This course includes a two-week site-based component. This may be at the College's Prescott, AZ campus or at one of our global or partner campuses
